Closer beaches can be found on the Space Coast, east of Orlando. Here can be found the fascinating Kennedy Space Center as well as some 72 miles of stunning coastline and the gateway to so many Caribbean cruises, Port Canaveral.
Slightly further away on the west coast, Fort Myers and Sanibel will feel as far removed from cartoon mice as anywhere with some of Florida’s most untouched beaches. And then there’s Naples to the west and Fort Lauderdale to the east. From Fort Lauderdale, Miami is just a short drive further south.

Funspot America’s initial expansion plans include the new White Lighting wooden coaster, the world’s biggest SkyCoaster. Hotels: The Peabody Orlando has
opened The Loft, ‘elite accommodation’ with 52 rooms located within three private-access fl oors in the Mallard Tower. The forthcoming Aloft Orlando Downtown Hotel by Starwood Hotels will feature 188 rooms and is within walking distance of the Amway Center. And due to be opening in August 2013 is the boutique property Alfond Inn at Rollins College. Local Attractions: The new
East-End Market hosts 10 local, independently-owned food enterprises, including a butcher, seafood merchant, produce vendor and baker. Clothing retailer Michael Kors, along with accessory and jewellery retailer Tous will be added to the more than 250 retailers at
