The gem-shaped island of Mauritius, one of the world’s most aspirational destinations, is set for a good 2013 with unrivalled quality and service fuelling demand, says Nicki Grihault

auritius is leading the recovery charge from the Indian Ocean, with operators reporting renewed


interest and increased bookings this year.. The bling of The Maldives, great value in Sri Lanka, plus the irresistible offers from the Caribbean, and emerging beach destinations, Mexico and Vietnam, continue to be a challenge, but in 2013, the Land of the Dodo, which can point to no fewer than 120 luxury hotels, is fi ghting back.
