Two new heavy-duty Bobcat® excavators are being introduced this summer — the E63 and E85 — replacing the E60 and E80 models, respectively.

Both the 6.3 metric ton E63 and 8.5 metric ton E85 have a Tier 4 compliant diesel engine that features a high-pressure common rail fuel injection system for increased torque and effi cient fuel consumption. To minimize emissions, both new Bobcat excavators have a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a diesel particulate fi lter (DPF).

NEW EXCAVATOR FEATURES New features available in these Bobcat excavator sizes are: • Fingertip boom swing and auxiliary hydraulic controls, including variable fl ow control and detent (continuous) fl ow mode. This not only improves multi-function capabilities, but also gives the operator more fl oor space

• Better control of the excavator’s auxiliary hydraulic fl ow, including dual direction for more precise attachment performance

• Independent boom swing control on the joysticks allows operators to more easily position the excavator for offset digging. For example, the excavator operator can dig on either side of a buried utility line without repositioning the machine, which can be a big timesaver
