As an experienced lane techni- cian and decorated Team USA veteran who has bowled on the sport’s most challenging lane patterns around the world, Janawicz has earned indus- try-wide respect as one of the most informed people in the sport today. In 2004, Janawicz made his-

tory at the USBC Open Champi- onships with an 858 series that stood as the highest individual series ever bowled in the tour- nament’s history until Bo Goer- gen shot 863 in 2009. Janawicz earned two USBC Open Cham- pionships Eagles, winning the regular singles and regular all- events titles that year. This past April, Janawicz’s team, Lodge Lanes Too of Orlando, Fla., set a record for highest team series in the tournament’s 110-year his- tory with a total pinfall of 3,538. The following day, Janawicz shot 741 in singles and 676 in doubles to take the regular all- events lead. Janawicz’s insight on the keys

to success at the USBC Open Championships, the unique challenges the 2013 tournament presents, and some of the most common errors house bowlers make when they first encounter Sport patterns are well worth reading.
