AVIS Car Rental has opened a new location at London Heathrow’s Terminal 5, claiming to save customers a 20-minute journey to the next nearest rental facility. As a partner of T5 airline British
Airways, Avis was chosen as the only rental company to operate from the terminal itself, saving customers a bus journey to facilities at T1, 2, 3 & 4. A new office is located in a multi-storey car park a short walk from T5 arrivals. Avis Preferred customers will receive a full range of benefits at the terminal, with use of a priority desk and the most conveniently parked cars. All customers will be able to choose from a full range of Avis vehicles, including the Select Series and Prestige collection. Avis UK managing director,

Avis Budget is also expanding in China with 70 outlets in 41 cities and is “investing all over Asia, as well as Latin America – especially Brazil – and the Middle East,” says Ceille.

AFFORDABLE CAR HIRE DEBUTS CHAUFFEUR DRIVE
AFFORDABLE Car Hire has revamped its website to make it easier for users to find the best deals and latest products online. Following consultations with agent and user groups, the company is now featuring an Affordable Choice and Deals of the Day, which allow agents and their customers to pick out a suitable car hire and insurance deal quickly and easily.
In response to demand from business travel agents and travel arrangers, the company has also introduced a chauffeur-driven service featuring executive vehicles such as Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and Jaguars. Prestige vehicles, sports cars and vans have also been added to the sales lines. Angela Day, the company's chief
executive, says, “We are constantly looking to improve the service we
provide for both agents and the general public and these latest offerings mean that there is even more choice.” Some 80 per cent of its
customers opt for top-up insurance or its full Supermax cover, so the new Affordable Choice button allows users to see at a glance the overall cost of car hire with this insurance option, including a ten per cent discount.
