In April Metabo will be the first manufacturer in the world to Introduce 5.2 Ah battery packs
to the cordless market Dear Customer Metabo have made it our duty to improve our products and today we
are able to announce yet another world first. You may have experienced first hand our successful introduction of our 4.0 Ah battery packs; the first manufacturer worldwide to introduce this technology with 18v. With this excellent technology, a unique promotion programme and thanks to you, we were able to significantly expand our position on the UK market for cordless tools and push the Metabo brand further towards the top. Your reactions to this introduction were overwhelmingly positive - an incentive for us to continue to pursue the path of innovation leader. Therefore we are very happy today to introduce to you another world first from Metabo: With effect from May 1st (from April in Germany) our new battery pack generation with 5.2 Ah will be available for all Metabo cordless power tools with 18 Volt. Compared to 4.0 Ah, this new battery pack generation offers an additional 30% of performance, thus taking you 30% further with just one battery charge. Compared to our 3.0 Ah battery packs, the increase in performance even amounts to 75%. Again we have used our battery pack know-how that we built up over 30 years and lead by virtue of the Ultra-M technology to venture into a new dimension of
performance. The Ultra-M technology, at present the most powerful and best Li-Ion battery management system worldwide in terms of service life of the battery pack, combines maximum performance with highest service life of the battery packs, 100% compatibility with the battery packs of the same design from our range and sustainability with focus on future Metabo battery packs. Furthermore, we offer our unlimited 3-year warranty on the new 5.2 Ah battery packs which again is unique on the market. At the same time Metabo will introduce a further platform into its cordless programme with a new LT range, which will complete our 3 tier 14,4v and 18v range
providing Li, LT and of course LTX models. LT models will host the 4.0Ah as standard and key product in LTX will host 5.2Ah. At the same time a full pick and mix programme of LT & LTX with 4.0Ah and
5.2Ah starter packs will be available together with approx 20 new combo packs and some new innovative accessories. Promotion documentation to help you and your customers to enter the 5.2 Ah world of products will be sent to your shortly. This information will also be useful to
get you started with the marketing of the world first 5.2 Ah 18v programme. Thank you for your support and we look forward to providing yet another sales generating leap in cordless technology. With kind regards Martin Aplin

Volvo EC27C Proves Ideal For Robert Taylor Tree Care Robert Taylor Tree Care of Denny, Falkirk has taken delivery of a new Volvo EC27C compact excavator for its tree maintenance and timber handling business, which is proving to be an ideal tool for the family run business according to proprietor Robert Taylor. Powered by a Volvo 1.6 litre low emission Stage III the EC27C delivers the performance in the range of the previous Volvo EC30 – yet with a compact design
reminiscent of the smaller EC25. The conventional excavator design provides exceptional stability along with minimal superstructure swing. Simultaneous control of slew and offset movements provides faster, more precise performance due to the right joystick control lever that features an electronically proportional roller. This allows the operator to accurately adjust hydraulic flow as needed. All hydraulic functions are performed in total independence for more control and less delay when handling multiple tasks. An automatic two-speed travel system engages when operating in high speed mode, automatically shifting gear from high to low according to the travel load. Another feature for increased efficiency is the standard auto-idling system that lowers engine speed to idle if a control is not used for five seconds. The engine reverts to the pre-selected speed almost instantly when any control is moved. This system delivers lower fuel consumption, longer engine life and less environmental noise. Robert Taylor Tree Care are a premier Tree Surgery company based in Stirling and
Falkirk working with residential, commercial and municipal clients, delivering a quality service that meets the needs of the customer but also respects the environment. This is a family run business established by Robert in 1990 which was joined by his son Gary in 2009 after gaining an HNC in Arboriculture and Urban Forestry. Strategically based in Denny in the Central Belt, the company undertakes projects throughout the whole of Scotland
