Hire HAE Launches New Apprentices

Scheme To ‘Hire The Future’ HAE has recently taken on 11 apprentices as part of a new initiative with CITB-ConstructionSkills. The aim is to provide new opportunities to learn hire specific skills working with host employers and utilising bespoke online and group learning. Further apprentices and hire companies, prepared to host the work-based learning, will be recruited when the project is expanded. As one of the new apprentices said; “It’s an opportunity to achieve

qualifications in a thriving industry. You can learn on the job and expand your knowledge while earning. I can already think of about three people that I will be recommending to HAE for next time.” Graham Arundell, HAE Managing Director, is committed to seeing the

scheme flourish; “We’ve had such enthusiasm from apprentices and employers who want to make the scheme work - I can see more joining in as we expand our apprenticeships offer.” Final word must go to another HAE apprentice who states that; “It gives

you a huge insight into the construction industry. It has helped me a lot, helped me to understand an industry I knew nothing about and given me an opportunity where I might not have seen one previously.”

Put A Stop To Moisture And Dangerous Fungi – New Dehumidifiers

By Master Available Now Master Climate Solutions, a manufacturer of high quality space heaters and dehumidifiers, has introduced two new dehumidifier models into the market: DH 752 and DH 772. The devices are intended for demanding clients who emphasize high capacity and durability as the most important parameters. Hence, the new series of dehumidifiers will be perfect for works related to removing the effects of flooding and permeation, reconstruction works as well as for servicing offices, libraries or archives. New models are, first and foremost, highly robust and may be used in very

difficult working conditions. They also feature improved ergonomics. One of their major advantages is the highly resistant metal frame and very durable wheels and grip which enables easy transportation of the device. Another noteworthy feature is the working time counter, this device serves an important function for construction equipment rental. Working time and energy consumption control allows for easy and fair settlement with your customers. Both devices are fitted with a built-in humidistat to check relative humidity. DH

752 model capacity is 46,7l/24h assuming ambient temperature of 30oC, and relative humidity of 80%. The other dehumidifier model achieves the capacity of 72l/24h in the same working conditions. The device is also fitted with a tank-fill control system - the dehumidifier automatically shuts down when the container is full. Emptying the tank is very fast and easy, thanks to a magnetic catch which supports the hatch as the water container is removed. Alternatively, water can also be drained by connecting a hose. New models of Master dehumidifiers are also fitted with an electronic control panel and an air filter in the front panel, which can be easily removed for cleaning. Due to their high functionality, DH 752 and DH 772 models will most likely become highly competitive in comparison to the dehumidifiers currently available on the market.

Marcrist Unveils Lighter, More

Flexible DDM1 Machine For Pro’s Marcrist International has announced the addition of the DDM1 to its Diamond Drilling Machine range. The new unit is a lightweight (4kg), compact, multi-functional diamond drilling

machine that sits alongside Marcrist’s existing dedicated diamond drilling machines and rigs. The DDM1 has been especially developed for the trade professional who

needs to drill occasional holes for pipes and boiler flues, but would prefer to invest in a more flexible machine that can also be used to undertake general drilling with smaller diameter drill bits in the Jacobs chuck. The machine is also supplied with a direct drive adaptor for dry diamond cores, should the tradesman wish to use the machine as a full time dedicated diamond drilling machine. A selectable percussion action makes the multi-functional DDM1 machine

perfect for drilling smaller diameter holes with masonry bits, and provides impressive performance when used with Marcrist’s new PC850 diamond percussion cores. The DDM1 has been extensively tested with Marcrist cores and has proved to

offer exceptional levels of durability and reliability. The powerful 1200W motor with soft start and constant power control

provides plenty of progressive power for effortless diamond drilling, whilst the durable 2-speed metal gearbox with pressure trigger provides continuously variable speed (0-1500 RPM and 1500 – 3000 RPM), allowing the user to select the optimum speed for the smallest and largest diamond cores. To ensure safety of the operator

DDM1 is fitted with a mechanical safety clutch and electronic override protection, critical to avoiding being thrown by a diamond core that snags in the hole. Safety is further enhanced by the addition of a vibration dampered side handle with an extension bar to improve posture whilst drilling. The new DDM1 machine, which

is supplied in a blow moulded case, is available in both 240V & 110V and has a list price of £225.
