Plantworx Preview The latest Generation From

SDMO Set For Plantworx SDMO Energy Limited, the UK arm of the power generation giant SDMO Industries, are ready to showcase several new products at the inaugural Plantworx exhibition. Taking centre stage will be SDMO’s latest power house the

R1600. The R1600 is a 1450kVA, prime power (1200kW COP)

portable generating plant fitted into a 20ft (6m) ISO sized container. The set is designed to provide major back-up power for factories, hospitals and similar establishments that require continuous electricity. SDMO personnel will be giving live demonstrations throughout the three days, highlighting the synchronisation capabilities of the R1600, via their own Telys generator controller. Fitted with wide access doors and a filtration system accessible from the outside, this mini-power station combines performance with ease of use and maintenance. SDMO believe that the R1600 offers the best ratio of compactness to power, available in the current market. SDMO’s will feature their brand new 6.0kVA diesel powered 6000E Silence. This super-silent, bunded, professional site generator has been manufactured to

incorporate a host of features and benefits including an extended run fuel tank and large, lockable canopy doors for easy servicing. Also on display will be the iPro inverter generators. These sets are powered by a Yamaha petrol engine and utilise the very latest inverter technology. They are super

quiet, making them ideally suited for applications where noise restrictions apply. For visitors that have environmental concerns, stand J7 will be the place to view a 3.75kVA generator fitted with an engine which may be fuelled by petrol or LPG.

The use of LPG is particularly beneficial in situations where any fuel spillage needs to be avoided. Finally, SDMO’s best selling Rental Compact range of super-silenced site generators will be represented by an example from this very popular line of sets.

MERLO wins PLANTWORX Innovation Safety Award Merlo’s innovative and patented M CDC (Merlo Dynamic Load Control) has been awarded the PLANTWORX Innovation Safety Award at the PLANTWORX Innovation Awards in London yesterday. Merlo Dynamic Load Control (M CDC) Safety remains the prime Merlo objective and the M CDC system, which is standard on all

agricultural Turbofarmer machines and is also gradually being introduced on the construction range, takes a totally new approach to load control. The system identifies the weight and position of the payload, compares both to a virtual ‘load

chart’ and calculates the ‘stability index’. As the stability index rises, audio/visual alarms and a final hydraulic lock act to prevent a forward overturn. In January 2013, M CDC appeared in the Farmer’s Guardian HOT 50 awards and in late 2012, M

CDC had also won the highly acclaimed innovation award at International Show, EIMA proving Merlo goes beyond EN15000 requirements for safety. Merlo will be launching Merlo Dynamic Load Control (M CDC) on its Construction range at

PLANTWORX in May. Merlo will have two stands at PLANTWORX, a static stand together with a demonstration stand including a ‘Drivers Challenge’.
