latest innovations in safety and productivity solutions at Plantworx 2013. GKD’s latest system coming to Stoneleigh this year is SLEWGUARD, a slew limiting system for hydraulic excavators and cranes alike. GKD has a proven track record of designing reliable
safety solutions when it comes to operating machines in confined spaces. The continual success of the 1HLI height limiting system for example. SLEWGUARD allows machine operators to set left and right slew movements of the boom aiding work in confined spaces where there is a requirement to restrict the slew movement of the machine. GKD claim the simplicity of such a valuable system is
second to none. For the operator, a simple two-button control on the driver display station, one to set left slew movement, one to set right slew movement. Building on this, the simplicity of set-up will appeal to the most conservative of foreman, site managers and decision makers. Quick and easy, do-it-yourself installation and automatic calibration, completed by the slew module itself after just two full rotations, means no training for engineers.
