GOSSIP ART IN THE BOX MAKES

WELCOMED RETURN. Art in the Box, the charity art exhibition which showcases work by local artists will be opening the stable doors once again this Summer to raise much needed funds for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI). It will be the third consecutive summer that Art in the Box has been held at Pastures Farm Grendon, and this year, the event will not only include work from a variety of diff erent artists who have not yet exhibited at the rural exhibition but also a collection of fabulous arts and crafts all created by local craftsfolk.

What makes Art in the Box unique is that for a few days each year stables which are usually used for housing livestock or farm equipment are converted into miniature art galleries giving art enthusiasts the opportunity to view a complete cross section of exciting local art in the totally informal and unusual surroundings of a working farm. Northampton Chartered Accountants Harris and Clarke who have been loyal supporters of Art in the Box since it was fi rst conceived, have kindly agreed to sponsor this year’s event.

Art in the Box will run from Saturday 29th June through to Wednesday 3rd July inclusive from 2 ± 6p m. Entrance will be free, however exhibition sheets will cost just £1. Groups interested in

arranging a private out of hours viewing are more than welcome and should contact organiser Debbie Skinner either via www.pasturesfarm.co.uk or by calling 07890 917325

To date Art in the Box has raised £2,700 for RABI and it is hoped that this year’s event will generate even more cash. For more information and entry forms, please contact Debbie Skinner or contact Regional Organiser for RABI Milly Wastie on 07525 323450 or email milly.wastie@rabi.org.uk
