What’s in Their Bag? AMBER ENGLISH, National Shotgun Team, Women’s Skeet
EARPLUGS- I use the soft team Howard Leight red, white and blue earplugs. I feel as though these silence the shot- gun sound and high decibel noise the best, and they are the most comfortable I have found.
VEST- My vest is very worn and comfortable. For me, com- fort is one of the most impor- tant aspects in performing your best. I have a yellow Interna- tional Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) line to represent my start- ing point where the bottom of my gun touches until the target comes out. My vest also has USA and under that my last name, and fi rst initial on the back. Be- neath that is where we attach our competitor numbers so that the judges or referees can identify the shooters.
SHOOTING EQUIPMENT BAG- I have a fairly large bag to make sure I can carry whatever I need plus a little room. In my bag you’ll always fi nd extra earplugs, my mini ipod nano with a pair of black skull candy ear buds to throw in when I’m preparing for my next round. I love listening to dubstep and any other pump
up music I can fi nd. My music usually varies depending on how I feel that day. I usually carry some form of water bottle or anything to keep me well hydrat- ed during training or my match. I also carry different layers of clothing for various weather con- ditions. I HATE being unprepared in that department, and since I’m your typical girl, I usually carry WAAAAAAYYY too many clothes wherever I go. You will also see different pairs of oakleys in my bag including sunglasses to pro- tect my eyes when I’m not com- peting. Sometimes I bring fi tness magazines during my down time to learn more about nutrition

and how I can further benefi t my body. You’ll usually see me with a paramedic book as well so I can study any chance I get.
SHELLS- I shoot Winchester AA 24gram 7/8oz. They blow things up when I need them to.
GUN- I shoot a Perazzi MX8 12G over and under.
These are a few of the things you will fi nd on me on most occasions.
GLASSES- I shoot in Oakley glasses—typically either the M- frame or a radar lens. I change the lens color depending on background to pick up targets more easily.
HAT- I wear an ISSF approved hat to train and compete in. Also comfort being number one. I also like to have a darker underside to my hat so its easier on my eyes.
