scores, he made a call to his old Army buddy, Dean Clark, and off we went to the 2005 Zone 3 Jr. Olympics at Ft. Benning. My next match was the USA Shooting National Championships and the rest is history. Greatest Athletic Experience…
World Cup Concepcion, Chile 2011 where I went into the fi nal in sixth and wound up in a shoot-off for silver and bronze. After 11 pairs, I came out with the bronze medal. Fun Fact … My aunt Alice Bull on my stepmother’s side was the fi rst woman to earn the Distinguished Rifl eman Badge and to earn a place in the Presi- dent’s 100. She was heavily involved in the NRA.
My best tip for dealing with
jet lag … jump right into that country’s day as soon as you hit the ground. If they are awake, you are awake. If they are asleep, you try your best to get some sleep. I’ve tried sleep- ing the entire fl ight and staying awake the entire fl ight and, for me, sleeping works best. I’ve conditioned myself to fall asleep on the airplane before take-off and really don’t have a problem staying asleep for the majority of even a long fl ight. It’s also important to STAY HYDRATED and make sure you take in the appropriate amount of protein. Your body is undergoing a lot of stress as it is, so give it what you can in the way of nutrients so it doesn’t have to work so hard. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!! This is what works for me and just
because it works for me, doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for anyone else. It may, however, give a starting point for the trial and error process that all shoot- ers must go through.

will always bear fruit and spurs me on to continue giving my utmost to this sport that I hold so dear. This record at the same time satisfi es my hunger and renews my appetite because every day is a day to set a new record; it might be your day or it might be someone else’s, but how will you know if you don’t show up?
