BE PREPARED

The last thing you’ll want to do is to show up to a competition and not know the rules, have illegal equipment, or most importantly, understand how the fi nals are conducted. I recommend everyone read through the new rule books for both ISSF and USA Shooting. Both organizations have their rulebooks posted on their respective websites. USA Shooting went the extra mile and highlighted the changed rules, clarifi ed them and explained how each rule is go- ing to be enforced. There is also a complete list of rule changes posted at uptagrafftllc.com and pilkguns.com.

Whether you agree with the changes or not, the one area

everyone can agree on is that preparation will separate the doomed from the dominant. This statement is even more relevant now that we are going back to zero before the start of the fi nal. As you see, many of these tips are designed to make your transition between positions smoother and more organized so you are better prepared to compete in a fi nal. These tips could be the difference between coming home with a gold or silver medal. Good luck with your preparation and I look forward to seeing you on the fi nals fi ring line. I’ll be prepared, will you?
