Planes of WRAM

This very large Henschel bipe was a pretty unique scale subject (above left) but left before any info was collected. Two is definitely better than one (above right). Michael Plot’s scratchbuilt Aeronca C-3 (above right) spans 108 inches and

dwarfs the little “¹⁄₄-scale R/C” model. It took Gunny Bumburs 6 months to create his scratchbuilt, electric powered 87-inch PT-19 (below left). Chris Susicke’s Globe Swift(below right) was immaculately covered in chrome MonoKote.

Despite a 30-inch span Robert Wagner loaded his Mr. Mulligan(above left) with detail like flaps, nav lights, scale cockpit and more. Rick Boyer built his 72-inch span Ryan STA (above right) from Maxey Hester’s design and put a Saito .82 in

the nose. The finish was Sig nitrate dope. Michael Gross put a DA 60 engine up front in his Yellow Aircarft P-40E (below left). Harry Saint-Preux’s 110-inch F4U Corsair(below right) had a Moki 215 radial and functioning cowl flaps.
