Harman shakes up speaker team


The changes come as the JBL division continues to expand its presence around the globe


HARMAN PROFESSIONAL has named Vince Grieb senior director, operations for its Loudspeaker SBU; Henry Goldansky becomes director of engineering; John Powell has been named vice president of sales; and Brian Divine becomes director of marketing. Grieb has been with Harman since 2005 in lead operations roles within the Infotainment division. In his new role, he will bring his expertise in Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing practices, quality assurance management and project management to the Loudspeaker Strategic Business Unit’s manufacturing plants across the globe. Goldansky joined Harman in 2007 as a senior engineering


manager at JBL Professional. Powell will be responsible for sales planning and management, including close collaboration with the regional sales managers and manufacturer’s representatives in the domestic market and international distributors and sales directors. Divine returns to Harman


from Bosch Communications Systems, where he last served as business line manager, professional sound for Electro- Voice and Dynacord. Previously, Divine held key positions within Crown Audio, most notably as marketing director of installed sound and touring. www.harmanpro.com

to the newly created position of director of system optimisation. McCarthy will be part of the R&D department with a mission to advance networked audio solutions. This continues a long association with Meyer Sound; McCarthy was one of the earliest users of the company’s products in the 1980s, and has been a pivotal figure in the development of all three generations of the SIM source independent measurement system. Audio-Technica has announced a series of


changes across its UK salesforce. Joining as area sales manager for MI in the south of England, Alex Farrell previously held the position of area sales manager at Tascam. Gary Maguire, meanwhile, builds on his existing role as Allen & Heath analogue product manager at Audio- Technica, taking on the additional responsibility of the southern area sales manager role. Transitioning from northern


area sales manager to UK market manager, Tim Riley will be responsible for working with the salesforce to develop the Audio- Technica brand in new and existing UK markets. Logan Helps now takes up
