Prolight + Sound
The Optima B210 is new from Inspired Audio
(for installations on one TOPAS channel). With the recent launch of the DL806 and the first showing of DLM Series Powered Loudspeakers at Prolight + Sound, Mackie is presenting a new “technology-packed” live sound solution – the DL/DLM system. With a range of DLM loudspeakers and a choice of input configurations for the DL mixer, a compact DL/DLM system can work for a wide variety of applications. Mackie’s DL Series digital live sound
mixers include the DL1608 16-channel mixer and the all-new DL806 8-channel mixer, both of which feature total control from the Apple iPad. There’s also the My Fader control app for use with an iPhone or iPod touch. The DLM Series powered loudspeakers feature an onboard digital mixer with a host of channel mixing tools and system processing. Launched last September, the DLM8 and
DLM12 are full-range, 2,000W powered loudspeakers with an integrated digital mixer complete with 16 effects and robust system processing. The DLM12S is the companion 2,000W subwoofer with ample system protection and processing. MC2 is majoring on
installation amplification with live demo systems of Ti Series components offering network audio output (Dante and Cobranet compatible) and signal processing, all controlled from
the company’s bespoke installation software application, iCore. On the studio side, the S Series amps will be on show, while the E90 and E100 from the touring E Series will also be in Frankfurt. MilTec (UK) will be using
Prolight + Sound to launch its Blakite and Blakite TR ranges of speakers. The Blakite mid/top speakers will all include pole fittings, flying points, bracket adaptors, rubber feet and a 35º rear slope for use as stage monitors. The subs are all bass reflex with pole adaptors and rubber foot recesses. Larger models will also have wheel options. The Blakite TR range will consist of three additional speakers designed for live performance. The new speakers will be built entirely in the UK. The MUSIC Group booth
will showcase products from Midas, Klark Teknik and Behringer, including the latter’s EUROCOM installed sound products. With the main focus on digital mixing, Behringer will present the latest additions to its growing X32 product family plus the new iX16 iPad mixer, while Midas will display its full PRO line and XL8 consoles. Recording studio aficionados will be able to experience the new NEKKST studio monitors, a major collaboration with

Keith R Klawitter that debuted at NAMM 2013, as well as the U-PHORIA digital interfaces and iSTUDIO iS202 docking station for iPad. Powersoft will be showing
three new additions to its Ottocanali Series – the Ottocanali 12K4, 8K4 and 4K4 as well as its outdoor multimedia unit, DEVA. Launched at ISE in January, the Ottocanali 4K4, Ottocanali 8K4 and Ottocanali 12K4 have been designed to work at low or high impedance, can run at 2 ohms as a standard operational parameter and can power 70V and 100V distributed lines without the need for external transformers. Also new at Frankfurt is DEVA, a multimedia audio-
messaging/video-capturing device that integrates solar power, bidirectional wireless AV communication, lighting and an efficient Class D amplifier in a compact, weatherproof enclosure. German manufacturer
Sommer Cable will present two new products in the Cardinal DVM range. The DVM-194- VCA stereo mixer combines the functionality of a high-fidelity stereo submixer with the remote controllability of the master level via a standard swell pedal. There are four stereo channels, one of which also offers a parallel front panel input for the fast hook-up of an additional source (stage keyboard or MP3 player, for example). Each channel features a tone control.
