BMS wireless HD for Sony Featured on the IBC stand of wireless video specialist BMS is the NTxx23 Sony Side Panel, a wireless HD transmitter that is the result of a cooperative programme with Sony. An integrated transmission and telemetry solution for Sony’s HDC2500 series camera, the transmitter is said to be 100% compatible with the full range of BMS receiver products and can also be used in conjunction with the full portfolio of BMS or third-party receive units supporting the DVB-T standard. According to BMS, users will benefit from the simple and efficient “dual use capability” of the Sony HDC 2xxx series – quickly changing the system from a Triax camera into a wireless one in under three minutes, all without compromising video quality, latency or weight.
The unit features full integration with the HDC2500 series, including a dedicated viewfinder menu page for control and diagnostic. It provides full camera remote control with the original Sony RCP. 1.A10
Nevion monitoring from camera to the home Managed IP media services including increased monitoring capabilities to support IP networking are among the capabilities being showcased by Nevion. The nSure portfolio of products is said to enable the monitoring of a signal from the output of the camera all the way to the home, giving customers the clearest view of their network performance. Using measurements and analysing the event logs from the monitoring equipment, along with parameter statistics, performance can be quantified to ensure the quality of end-users’ viewing experience and that SLA targets are met. The latest version of VideoIPath, Nevion’s end-to-end solution for managed media services is also on display. 1.B71

Two in one: The Connect Live transmitter mounted on a P2 unit
a cost-effective and reliable newsgathering solution that gives them greater range, mobility and flexibility,” said IMTdivisional chief executive Stephen Shpock. “With its dual COFDM and bonded 4G LTE live video streaming capabilities, the Connect Live system is essentially two products in one. It combines IMT’s microwave expertise with Dejero’s cellular bonding technology, allowing broadcasters to cover live breaking news and provide realtime reporting from locations that are too costly or difficult to reach with traditional methods.” 1.D40
A new Mac version of the yelloGUI application, for configuring yellobriks over USB, is being launched by Lynx Technik. The complementary software application, which already runs on a PC, allows users access to a host of advanced settings and adjustments of an individual yellobrik. Typically, yellobriks are configured via the integrated module rotary switches, dip switches and indicators. The company claimed that
the yelloGUI user interface, like the yellobrik modules, was designed to be simple and intuitive. Once the module is connected, a virtual image of the module is displayed showing the user all switches, controls and module indicators. yelloGUI also displays status information such as the detected video
