Norbar appoint new UK and Ireland business manager
orbar Torque Tools has appointed Jeremy Tucker as its new UK and Ireland business manager. Jeremy’s appointment comes as part of an expansion to Norbar’s global sales team. Jeremy will be responsible for managing sales and profitability throughout Norbar’s existing distribution network and is tasked with maximising torque solutions opportunities within the UK and Irish markets. Jeremy joins Norbar from BSS Industrial where he worked for 27 years, reaching director level. Jeremy brings a wealth of experience to the family owned torque tools manufacturer, having worked predominantly in the sale of industrial pipeline and heating solutions throughout the UK and Irish markets. Jeremy joins Jonathan Firnberg, Global Business Manager, and Stuart Clarke, European Business Development Manager, Norbar’s UK headquarters in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

he SCHURTER 6610 is the first of its kind appliance outlet using IDC terminal technology. This novel product allows significant reduction of labour costs by supporting a more efficient assembly method. Multiple outlets can be banked and wire connections can be bussed, connecting the terminals all at once. The product is especially suited for power distribution units and appliances with multiple power outputs. The IEC F appliance outlet is equipped with IDC terminals and available for two different wiring versions, “along” and “across” to the connector pin axis. The terminals accept insulated solid wires with cross section AWG12 / 2.5mm2 and AWG16 / 1.0 – 1.5mm2. The component is designed for snap-in mounting and comes with a protection cover. The cover aids in pressing the wires and, at the same time protects from electrical shock.
