Fluke power quality tools

he Government’s Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Scheme provides businesses with enhanced tax relief for investments in equipment that meets published energy-saving criteria, providing 100% first year capital allowances on qualifying equipment. The rugged, portable, three-phase Fluke power quality tools – the latest Fluke 435 and 434 Series II Power Quality Analysers, the Fluke 1745, 1744 and 1743 Power Quality Loggers and the Fluke 1735 Power Logger - all qualify under the ECA Scheme. The Fluke 430 Series II three-phase Power Quality Analysers use a patented algorithm to measure energy waste and quantify its cost. Long the most popular three-phase power quality analysers on the market because of their simultaneous display-and-record capabilities,

ith its alarm and memory function the EL-EnviroPad-TC is the perfect device to use for checking and recording temperature in chillers,

freezers, ovens, food preparation and

production, test and measurement environments plus industrial processes. The touch screen device is designed to log temperatures and view results on-the-spot. It is supplied with a K type probe and is also compatible with J, N and T types. This small versatile machine has two modes of operation ‘Data Logging’ and ‘Spot Measurement’. In ‘Data Logging’ mode temperature is taken and recorded automatically. In ‘Spot Measurement’ mode the user records the temperature by pressing the touch screen to capture readings and will save them there and then. Any measurement can be saved and then downloaded to a PC when required. The internal rechargeable battery provides typically 8 hours of logging.

he new Uni-Therm from Rigel Medical accurately measures the performance of electrosurgical generators including high frequency

leakage, high current, power distribution and patient return plate alarm testing. Compliant with IEC 60601-2-2*, the high performance Uni-Therm is capable of verifying and calibrating all major electrosurgical generators whilst guiding the user through all test procedures automatically and most of all safe. A high power load bank enables performance testing up to 6A RMS with a duty cycle of up to 100% making the analyser an extremely versatile test instrument for calibrating and performance testing of conventional and high power electrosurgical generators. The large array of internal resistors, ranging from 0-5100Ω in 5Ω steps provide not only the most accurate and detailed power curves, the Rigel Uni-Therm also advocates safe working practise by providing all necessary resistors within a single enclosure. *IEC 60601-2-2 specifies the requirements for the safety of high frequency surgical equipment and HF surgical accessories used in medical practice.

OmniDriver Spectroscopy Platform Updated O

cean Optics has released an update to its OmniDriver Spectroscopy Development Platform.

The platform-neutral Java based Version 2.20 provides a simple interface for

programming of USB spectrometers, accessories and devices in optical sensing systems, and is available with an optional set of spectral processing math algorithms. New features have improved the platform’s high-speed data acquisition, spectral processing, data analysis, data visualization and data transfer options. With native libraries included for a variety of Linux, Macintosh and Windows operating systems, OmniDriver users can develop robust control applications without knowing Java; the wrapper libraries provide an interface for most languages to link against.
