One Visit the UK’s biggest ever group of real ice attractions all in one place with a visit to Liverpool One. #IceFestival, the first ever urban ice experience, will be housed in the heart of the City on Chavasse Park and has been brought to Liverpool by the team behind the world renowned London Ice Sculpting Festival. Visitors can experience the UK’s largest real ice slide plus an ice gallery with ice crafted sculptures lining the way to Santa’s Grotto. Tere will also be an outdoor ice rink and an amazing pop up ice bar where the room and the furniture inside it are all made out of real ice. Dazzle 9th November – 31st December, Royal Exchange
Teatre, Manchester Dazzle, much like the iconic Coca Cola advert, is always an exciting reminder that Christmas is on its way. It is still the largest selling contemporary jewellery exhibition in Europe and, this year; it will be transforming the foyer of the Royal Exchange Teatre into a sparkling and decadent extravaganza. Dazzle brings together some of the biggest names in jewellery from countries across the world as well as showcasing work from rising stars, having hand- picked them from the graduate shows. A Nightmare on Lime Street 23rd November 2012 – 12th January 2013, Royal
Court Teatre, Liverpool See David Gest treading the boards as Frankenstein’s monster in this hilarious new comedy-horror stage production. Floral Extravaganza 1st - 7th December, Arley Hall and Gardens If you’re a regular at the Flower Shows then don’t miss out on this seasonal treat from Arley Hall. It is a chance to see the hall decorated by flowers, arranged by skilled local florists, and attend candlelit choral performances in the evenings. On the 4th December there will be two floral demonstrations by Carl Wilde who will create five spectacular floral decorations to be donated to a charity raffle that evening. Tere will also be a craft fair on the 1st and 2nd December with a range of gifts and crafts on sale, as well as delicious Christmas fare in the Tudor Barn restaurant. For more information visit

Moscow City Ballet 15th –17th January 2013, Opera House, Manchester
Renowned dance company Moscow City Ballet make a welcome return to the North West in January 2013 with performances of Swan Lake at Manchester’s Opera House. Swan Lake follows the fate of Prince Siegfried as he falls in love with the beautiful Swan Queen, Odette. It will be performed in all of its original splendour with lavish sets, dazzling costumes and stunning choreography. For ballet enthusiasts further afield, the company will also perform both Swan Lake and Romeo & Juliet at Venue Cymru, Llandudno from 18th – 20th January.
