EVERYONE’S favourite blue hedgehog is back in another family friendly racer. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformedmarks Sonic’s first Wii U appearance alongside his Sega friends including Ulala, Nights, Amigo and even a player’s own Mii. The mascot-based kart racer has received a few improvements over Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. One major change is that the cars can now
transform to adapt to their surroundings. Sonic’s racing car can change into a plane or boat depending on where the track takes him. Players use skills by filling up an
‘All-Star meter’ instead of cracking open item boxes. The meter charges faster for players at the back of the race, which sees an interesting element of strategy being introduced to the game.
Alongside online multiplayer, themed tracks from popular Sega games and an XP system, the Wii U version also features mini-games that use the new GamePad and support up to five players via split-screen.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformedis gearing up to be a great family racer in time for the launch of Nintendo’s new console.
