A guided tour of the Monterey Bay Aquarium shares the marine life exhibits that make it one of the most respected aquariums in the world. Next, drive out to the Monterey Bay Peninsula to take in its seaside beauty and travel along the 17-Mile Drive, renowned as one of the most scenic coastal routes in the world; enjoy a stop at the legendary Pebble Beach Golf Course, host to the U.S. Open. BIG SUR TO SANTA BARBARA Views of fog-shrouded cliffs, crashing surf and towering redwoods amaze today as you drive south on Highway 1 to San Simeon to visit the 165-room estate of publishing tycoon William Randolph Hearst.
