IT’S… A new sound processor designed to make audio processing setup quicker and easier.
DETAILS: The Bose ControlSpace SP-24 is said to simplify audio DSP for 2 x 4 installed and portable applications by offering two methods of configuration based on user preference and loudspeaker type. Fast system setup is
achieved using front-panel LCD menus and controls, which offer a basic method of configuration for systems using Bose loudspeakers. Factory-installed Bose loudspeaker equalisation
curves are selectable, together with common routing configurations. Additional settings, such as gain and delay, are also available from the front panel for basic system tuning. Using the SP-24 Editor
software, additional signal processing parameters are available for system equalisation and optimisation. For unique signal routing and processing configurations, or when used with non-Bose loudspeakers, the SP-24 processor in combination with the SP-24 Editor software serves as a general-use DSP processor. The SP-24 sound processor
includes standard XLR connections to interface with balanced pro-audio gear. It offers two input channels for sources such as mixing consoles, and four output channels to connect to amplifiers or powered loudspeakers.
AND ALSO: Additional features include input signal and clip LEDs located on the front panel, and a lockout mode, which helps prevent unauthorised access to the front panel.

AMX MODERO X
IT’S… New 7in and 10in additions to the Modero X family of touchpanels.
DETAILS: These smaller, widescreen versions belong to the family of touchpanels that was designed to incorporate all the multi- touch capabilities, such as gesturing, swiping and tapping, that today’s users have become accustomed to, according to the company.

CS-1600 XL2 CINEMA METER OPTION
IT’S… A new cinema meter option for the handheld XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer.
DETAILS: Developed through a collaborative effort by the two companies, the cinema meter option allows cinema sound technicians to calibrate loudspeaker systems efficiently and to a high degree of precision – beyond the recommended basic SMPTE standards – using a handheld device. The cinema meter option
extends the XL2 Analyzer to facilitate efficient and accurate alignment of Meyer Sound EXP cinema systems. The new option includes a Meyer Sound test script that can be used for

tuning any cinema system. Test signals can be sourced through storage in the cinema system or from the NTi Audio MR-PRO generator.

VISION
IT’S… A new ceiling speaker that supersedes the CS-1300.
DETAILS: The CS-1600 features an enclosed back- can to comply with fire safety standards in some regions. The back-can is an unusually shallow 128mm. Vision says the chassis
redesign has allowed them more control over frequency response, resulting in better
low-frequency performance and a more natural sound.
AND ALSO: Like the other loudspeakers in Vision’s range the CS-1600 are low
impedance, but Vision’s 100V line transformers (model SP- 100V) can be added for use with 100V line amplifiers.
