Tiger Lily was established at Greendale just over a year ago and Vicki Fox, the latest addition to their experienced team, is offering everything from facials and massages to waxing, tinting and spray tans. As someone who suffers from dehydrated, tired skin, thanks largely to too much caffeine and not enough sleep, I called in to find out more about the new range of Dermalogica products that are used in the facials. Having worked in the beauty industry for four years previously, Vicki, of Norton, explained: “I’ve always wanted to work with the Dermalogica range. It uses active ingredients that feed the skin and Dermalogica believe in promoting good skin health. “There’s something for everybody in a Dermalogica facial. It suits every skin type, whether you’re a teenager with acne or you’re a bit older and worried about premature ageing.”

Using a 15-minute consultation and face-mapping to identify my skin type and problem areas, Vicki was then able to tailor the hour-long facial directly to my needs and use the products which would help hydrate and revitalise my skin. Added Vicki: “You have a skin consultation every time you come for a facial, in case anything has changed. “It makes sure you get the most out of every treatment and you also get a skin prescription afterwards where we highlight recommended products that will suit your skin and your lifestyle.” Relaxing in the private, comfortable beauty room, I could feel all the day’s stresses drifting away as my dry-combination skin was given some much needed TLC.
Having to complete an intensive course in order to be able to use the Dermalogica range, Tiger Lily is an official stockist and also sells the wide range of products in salon. Finishing off the treatment with a Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque, Vicki offered me a choice of massage for my hands, feet, or shoulders and neck. Opting for the latter to relax some of the tension in my knotted muscles, the massage was the perfect way to finish off the luxury facial, which left my skin feeling nourished and moisturised and looking a lot fresher and brighter.
