A bathroom out of nowhere!
Creating a luxurious en-suite bathroom from an old box-room has added an exciting touch of style to a Millhouses couple’s home
A producer at Hallam FM, James moved into his Millhouses home four years ago and, after refurbishing the rest of the house, was ready for a new en-suite.

“I always return to H2O whenever I need anything for my bathroom as, having worked with them before, I know their advice is always based on honesty and facts.
“If something was a bad idea, or simply wouldn’t look right, I know they would tell me and their attention to detail is second to none,” praised James.
“The bathroom we worked on was non-existent. At the start of the project it was a third bedroom in 1930s semi; an old box-room above the stairs. “Our plan was to change the room into an en-suite for the adjacent bedroom. I drew up plans on a piece of paper and then gave them to Richard Hardy at H2O and he drew the plans - including his valuable contributions and amendments - on the imaging software. “The work wasn’t particularly straightforward as we needed to get water into the room, and waste from it, as well as providing adequate ventilation.” Cutting a new doorway through the middle of a wall to make the most out of all four corners of the en-suite, James and his wife decided on a Duravit bath, walk-in shower with Vado fittings and a sink with Hansgrohe taps fitted.
Completing the look with a stainless steel heated rail, Porcelain wall tiles
and a wooden style floor, James added: “My wife and I knew the kind of look we were hoping for and after we visited Richard he took our vision and immediately created a package that surpassed what we had hoped to achieve.
“Once we decided on tiles, it was simply a case of arranging a delivery date that suited us. From then, their fitter started work.
“It was a big project, but the installations team were friendly and tidy, They started the job when they said they would and stayed until completion, which is not something we are used to in home refurbishment. “We are now talking to H2O about the main family bathroom, which is well overdue some TLC.
“They are always a pleasure to deal with and we have no doubt that whatever look we go for, they will make it perfect.” Established on Chesterfield Road at Meersbrook by Richard Hardy and Martin Price four years ago, H2O Bathroom Solutions boasts an expansive showroom, with displays on view to suit any budget and taste.
The main Duravit dealers in the local area, Martin and Richard are joined by long-standing colleagues Ian Marriott and Philip Proctor, with the four of them clocking up a century of industry experience between them.
