For more than 20 years, Prysmian has been the fi rst choice for contractors looking for low smoke, zero halogen and fl ame retardant wiring and power cables. Prysmian has now released Afumex to meet the complex demands for fi re safety in buildings. In the event of fi re, traditional PVC cables can be a vehicle for fl ame propagation, while also generating dense black smoke and corrosive acid gas. Afumex cables reduce these risks by helping to retain visibility of escape signs and evacuation routes, and also reduce the spread of fl ame along cables and eliminate hydrogen chloride acid gas produced during combustion.
