What: We’ve Done the Work, How Do We Get Paid? (CL5). When and where: 13 June, Bury St Edmunds; 27 June, Loughborough;12 July, Newbury.
Does the title of this course have a familiar ring for your business? ‘We’ve done the work, how do we get paid?’ is an increasingly common question amongst contractors, and we have developed this new one- day course to be directly aimed at subcontractors and suppliers. Full account is taken of the implications of the Construction Act 2009, including payer, payee and payless notices. Workshop exercises are included to aid full understanding.
Management development Recent research published by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) (The Business Benefits of Management and Leadership Development) identifies strong links between effective management and good business performance, and on pages 66-67 a feature on the BSE Higher Skills Project, Managing for the future, looks at the issue of management skills across the whole sector.
The ECA Management Development Programme is designed to provide current and potential industry managers with formal industry-specific supervisory and management skills – and a CMI qualification, if they wish to take this up. The programme is designed
