Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is a prime example of what happens when a well known brand combines with word of mouth. You get sales of over £2 million on both 360 and PS3 for a title that was released all the way back in late 2010. Criterion’s track record speaks
for itself: shelves of game awards for its Burnout franchise and top scores in publication after publication. The studio has been part of EA’s far reaching stable since 2004 It also produced proprietary 3D middleware, which in its heyday was used by over 30 development studios.
