Pro-Shop Europe is proud to unveil the 2012 Trade Industry Awards. The aim of the awards is to recognise best practice and innovation within the European golf industry. This campaign will culminate in a glittering awards evening on November 15, 2012 in the ballroom at Wentworth Golf Club. The event will once again be preceded with a sponsor’s golf day played on the West Course.

PGA Professional of the Year This will be awarded to the pro who has demonstrated the greatest ability and initiative to manage their pro shop while developing and growing the number of members and the revenues of their club. In addition they will have delivered exceptional coaching and development programmes for all ages and abilities.

an individual who displays aptitudes above and beyond what is expected and required.
Junior Coach of the Year This award will be bestowed on the pro who has demonstrated an exceptional ability to coach, teach and encourage the participation in golf of the local community and members up to the age of 16 (before December 31, 2012) through creative and effective teaching methods.
PGA Assistant Professional of the Year Presented to the assistant professional who has shown the ability to work in partnership with his/her respective pro and club members. This award acknowledges

Pro-Shop of the Year In this category, the judges are looking for the pro shop that has shown an ability to make the most of the available space to deliver a professional, well presented and accessible pro shop that caters for and exceeds its members’ and visitors’ needs.

Greenkeeper of the Year This award will be given to the greenkeeper who has demonstrated a combination of great leadership to his staff along with the ability to ensure that his course is maintained to the highest standards, ensuring maximum enjoyment for members and visitors alike. An awareness of the environment and implementation of “eco-friendly” projects is also required.
In association with
Sales Agent of the Year The sales agent who has delivered exceptional service and support to the pro shops and retailers in their region and who has shown evidence of going the extra mile to assist their customers is what the judges are seeking in this category.
