Eric Anderson teach his students. The ninth grade band was being recorded this particular day. After three rehearsals of Tschesnokoff’s “Salvation Is Created,” Mr. Anderson wanted to get a recording for students to assess in an activity planned for the next day’s rehearsal. Every room in VAHS’s music suite has between two

and 24 channels of microphone inputs in the wall which can be fed directly to the main board in the recording studio. The microphone in the band room was con- nected to the board, which fed a signal to a Mac Pro. Apple’s Logic software was used to capture the recording. By using this type of setup, Mr. Anderson was able to record the entire rehearsal without having to pause to run and hit the record button.
