BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE’s WWII shooter ARMA II continues to perform well in the Steam charts, this week rising to No.1.

This is thanks in no small part to the continued popularity of DayZ, a mod created by one of the game’s developers that mixes military action with zombie hunting.

ARMAis followed by UBISOFT’s Driver: San Francisco, which was released last September. The game raced backed into Steam’s Top Ten thanks to the digital retailer’s weekend deal, offering a 75 per cent discount.

There are two new entries elsewhere in the Steam charts, with STARDOCK’s Sins of A Solar Empire expansion pack Rebellion taking No.4.

Meanwhile RUNIC GAMES’ Torchlight II– which has been a regular in the Steam Top Ten for the last few months thanks to strong pre-orders – debuted at No.10.

Torchlight’s release leaves Civilization Vadd-on Gods & Kings as the only pre-order in the Top Ten.

Over on Xbox Live, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition continues its reign over the Arcade charts, racking up a sixth consecutive week at No.1.

New release Babel Risingfrom UBISOFT debuts at No.9 in the Top Ten. However, it was outperformed by another Ubi XBLA game, From Dust, which has been temporarily on offer for 800 Microsoft Points.

Minecraft has considerable influence in the XBLA Indie chart: five positions in the Top 10 are taken up by titles based heavily on MOJANG’s phenomenom – the most popular of which is DIGITAL DNA’s CastleMiner Z.

Finally, HEADUP GAMES enjoys further success with its most recent release Bridge Constructor. The iOS title remains No.1 on both the Free and Paid iPad charts, and No.2 on the two iPhone charts. ZEPTOLAB’s Cut The Rope still leads on Android.
