Kichaka has warming deal

BY JENNA ANGEL Kichaka Luxury Game Lodge

UK families, offers a five-star experience through both its 10 suites and a big-five game-viewing safari and is an ideal suggestion for clients looking to combine a bush experience with time on the coast (Port Elizabeth and its sandy beaches are a short drive away). An 18-hole golf course – Gary Player Bushman Sands – is close by. Kichaka’s winter 'stay-for-three- nights-pay-for-two' deal, valid on all new bookings for stays between May 1 and September 30 2012, costs R2750pp (around £265). Hong Kong and beyond in Club BY ALAN ORBELL

Hong Kong Airlines has launched a new daily Airbus A330-200 all-business class service between London Gatwick and Hong Kong with free onward travel on the airline’s route network, which includes

Beijing, Tokyo, Bali, Singapore, Bangkok and Phuket.

The new flights offer 82 2x2x2 cradle-

style seats in Club Classic and 34 1x2x1 seats in Club Premier which convert into 6ft 1in beds. The airline is expecting significant

take-up for the leisure sector, suggests its Manager Marketing & Services, UK, James Sanderson. “We originally thought the service

would be dominated by corporate traffic but we’re now looking at a 60/40 business/leisure split and are already talking to a number of tour operators. “There was a shortage of capacity

between London and Hong Kong so it made good sense for the company to launch the new service. There is nothing like Club Classic in the market; it comes with all the benefits of business class

but at a substantially lower cost, equivalent to premium economy. Our Club Premier product is positioned between business and first class.” Flights depart from Gatwick at 21.30

footsteps of Sir Ernest Shackleton while looking out for King Penguin colonies, elephant seals and albatrosses. An eight-day cruise around the Komodo Archipelago costs from £2,995pp, based on two sharing, while the Wolves of Yellowstone National Park tour, a seven-day trip, costs from £2,495pp (both excluding flights).

Justin Wateridge, Managing Director of A&K commented: “The new brochure represents our top priorities: supporting wildlife conservation, opening up opportunities to see rare creatures in unspoilt locations, and responsible tourism where nature comes first”. www.abercrombiekent.co.uk
