VERITY RICE USA Product Manager Hayes & Jarvis “Multi-centre holidays are

increasingly popular. Hayes & Jarvis has access to lots of different hotels and flights so we’re able to pull just about any itinerary together. “We’ve also introduced the Key West

Express, which is a ferry that takes customers from Fort Myers to Key West in just three hours. “If you travelled by car the journey can take over five hours.”

KEN GARRITY Homeworker Travel Tailormade “The majority of my

clients are families looking for two weeks running around the parks, but a while back I had a senior couple who wanted me to come up with a combination where they would experience Florida’s golf courses, beaches and fishing. “I recommended the Panhandle in the

northwest. They loved it and have booked the same trip every year since.”

PERSONAL BY JO COOKE “Wherever I’ve roamed in Florida, from Clearwater to Miami, my chosen destination has always delivered all I’d hoped for, plus a few surprises. A road trip last summer to Key West afforded mesmerising views of the islets, fabulous beaches, ocean-side state parks and boat trips. Dolphin encounters are also synonymous with the region, but can be quite staged. At the Dolphins Plus Centre in Key Largo, however, I got to snorkel in a lagoon with a pod of dolphins which swam around and beneath me curious as cats - an incredible experience. Key West is probably best-know for fabulous shopping, entertainment and art galleries. Lesser-known are the great nature trails on the Atlantic Ocean side of town. While wandering I spotted an American bald-headed eagle. You could also swap the lively Sunset Celebrations at Mallory Square for some paddle-board yoga. Heading out into the mangrove backwaters you get to watch the sunset as you strike a few poses.”
