Automated Motion Inc. (AMI) has a new product for testing aerospace oxygen regulators and crew masks. The company says this product obsoletes prior manual and analog systems that have been in use over several decades. The test system uses computer technology to automate the testing process. With this method, the operator no longer has
to interpret analog gauges or flow meters, but simply has to follow instructions in the test script. The tester uses the latest technology in flow sensors, computer interfaces and software to make this product truly unique. This computer controller system is operating under Windows 7 and uses interface cards to provide digital readings compared against pre-determined test limits. The software not only provides automatic testing at altitudes over 40,000 feet but has modes available for manual testing. This approach saves time in testing and repair from previous systems and most tests run unattended. The company says the technology has been used by some of AMI’s customers for more than 10 years in prior custom systems. Factories, airlines and FAA repair shops benefit from this prior experience, which is used in this new standard product. For more information contact Automated Motion Inc., 816-820-6999,
