Annett joined FlightSafety in 2001 at the Hawker Beechcraft Learning Center in Wichita and most recently served as Assistant Director of Training. He has led or participated in important local and companywide initiatives designed to enhance Customer service, increase training quality, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes. He graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College where he majored in the professional pilot program, studied accounting at Grand View College, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Embry-Riddle University.


Worthington Appointed Dallas Airmotive Regional Engine Manager Kevin Worthington has joined Dallas Airmotive, a BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company, as a Regional Engine Manager covering several Midwestern states. Worthington will be responsible for selling repair and overhaul services on Pratt & Whitney Canada engines.


“Kevin fits his new role perfectly,” commented Dennis DiMarco, vice president of sales for North America. “He knows the engines inside and out from both a sales and a technical side. He has a strong focus on customer service which is exactly what Dallas Airmotive is all about.” Worthington spent the past 14 years selling Pratt & Whitney Canada engine services for Duncan Aviation out of its Battle Creek, Michigan location. Worthington will cover Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio focusing on engine services sales for Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, JT15D, PW500, PW306C engines and on Honeywell 36 series APU. He will be based in Michigan.


Irish headquartered Eirtech Aviation continues its expansion with the addition of two newly built narrow body state of the art hangars located in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The group employs upwards of 200 people. Founded in 1999, Eirtech Aviation underwent an ownership change in 2009 following an MBO from Lufthansa Technik. Primarily offering aircraft repainting, interior refurbishment, aviation graphics, engineering and technical asset management services, Eirtech operations are based at three locations in Shannon, Dublin and Ostrava where they provide environmentally compliant hangar facilities, comprising of seven narrowbody bays and widebody capability at the Dublin facility.


Engineering and technical assett management services are headquartered in Shannon with new offices underway in Ostrava and Dubai. Eirtech is a fully approved EASA Part21J Design Engineering Organisation, recently EASA subpart G & I CAMO approval was attained, EASA 145 C6 combined with technical services for Aircraft & Engine Asset Management, ARC, Audits, Surveys, Project Management & Consulting are among the services offered.

LOT Polish Airlines Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co., Ltd. (Boeing Shanghai) today announced a two- year maintenance agreement with LOT Polish Airlines (LOT). Under the agreement, Boeing Shanghai will perform maintenance services on Boeing 767-300s for LOT Polish Airlines. The first airplane was inducted at the Shanghai facility to conduct a C-check on February 6. “LOT Polish Airlines is an award-winning carrier and Boeing Shanghai will provide maintenance service for their 767s that is commensurate with the airline’s status,” said Bernard Hensley, CEO of Boeing Shanghai. “We look forward to a long and mutual beneficial partnership with LOT.” LOT Polish Airlines, based in Warsaw, Poland, currently operates five 767-300ERs.

SriLankan Airlines A330/A340 Components Handled By AFI KLM E&M


AFI KLM E&M inked a contract with SriLankan Airlines covering A340 and A330 component support. The contract involves closed-loop repairs for six A330’s and six A340’s. The company says the tailor made solutions they are offering include a range of repair solutions to this first-time client, illustrating their determination to continuously expand market share on such products, notably in Asia. By pressing forward with its ambition to operate as near as possible to its clients, AFI KLM E&M is demonstrating its long-term commitment to Asia and Pacific regions. AFI KLM E&M Feels confident it was that presence, in particular, which convinced SriLankan Airlines to sign the agreement. “Our dual airline/MRO profile reassured SriLankan Airlines. In addition, we were able to


provide SriLankan with both very competitive prices and a level of quality that several A330 and A340 operators have already been observing and regularly point out” said Fabrice Defrance, AFI KLM E&M Commercial SVP. “We made our selection decision as AFI KLM E&M, a major MRO and a world leader in A330 / A340 components support, proposed services and conditions which were quite compliant with our expectations,” confirmed Mr. Priyantha Rose, head of Engineering of SriLankan Airlines.
