Pentastar Launches Web-Based Customer Maintenance Interface

Pentastar Aviation’s web-based “MTX Control” interface allows maintenance managers to conduct oversight of their work scope in real time – from anywhere in the world.

photos, video and text to post discrepancies for approval in secure, password-protected accounts.

“I know what I would want as a customer,” said Tim Keffer, Pentastar Aviation maintenance control supervisor. “MTX Control was designed based on customers’ needs. The interface allows them to efficiently oversee their work scope and keep the job moving forward, even if they are offsite.”

Pentastar says the new version of the interface is running smoothly and has generated positive feedback from customers. “All of our operations at Pentastar aim to best meet the needs of our customers,” said Rick Maloney, president & CEO, Pentastar Aviation. “In a constantly changing industry, the tools we use to meet and exceed our customers’ needs are also constantly changing.” Using the site is simple, says Pentastar. Their maintenance

control staff will set up an account for each individual maintenance manager. Photos, videos and detailed text or audio descriptions of each squawk are uploaded to the account for approval. The interface will be subject to improvements over time. “MTX Control will evolve in the future,” said Keffer. “We will continue to improve the user experience based on customer feedback and advancements in technology.”

ATP Reports Strong Sales of Aviation Hub

ATP says initial industry reaction to its next-generation, cloud-based service, the ATP Aviation Hub, has exceeded expectations with more than 2800 registered users since its introduction in late January. “The strong, positive reaction of aviation professionals to the

The ATP Aviation Hub builds on the successful 2011 launch of the ATP Navigator online service.

Major Leasing Companies Validate TRUEngine Program

Four of the world’s largest aircraft leasing companies, International Lease Finance (ILFC), CIT, AerSale, and GE CapitalAviation Services (GECAS), have signed Letters Agreements with CFM International to include their engines in the TRUEngine program. The TRUEngine designation serves as a method for identifying engines with CFM-approved content and facilitates product support of the engine system. Industry stakeholders can use the knowledge of engine content to evaluate engine value and re-marketability. Since CFM launched the program in 2008, CFM has continued to enhance the program to bring added customer value. One such enhancement includes the addition of cumulative lease days that qualify customers for complimentary annual spare engine support from the CFM lease pool in the event of any unscheduled removals.
