CREATIVE DISTRIBUTION DISTRIBUTOR

0208 664 3484

CREATIVE DISTRIBUTION, one of Europe’s largest independent distributors of entertainment products, has hired Mark Stinchcombe as head of its toy division. He joins from Corinthian where as managing director he built up the Puppy in my Pocket and Microstars football figurine brands. Gareth Dain, MD of Creative, said:

“Creative is home to a fast growing toy business, which we developed to meet demand from customers for toys to sell alongside computer games. We want to be at the forefront of the convergence of the toys and games industry into the entertainment products industry. “Creative is already involved in video games publishing and the end of 2012 and beginning of 2013 will see the release of our Rambo game on Xbox 360 and PS3. Now,

we have someone who can really push our toy business forward.” Stinchcombe said: “It is widely accepted that the games industry is bigger than the movie business and the largest retailers of toys are also amongst the largest retailers of computer games. “Creative aims to deliver

incremental revenue to both toy makers and games retailers by bridging the gap between the toy industry and the games industry.” Creative has also signed licences with Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona and Tottenham and will launch SoccerStarz miniature football figurines in time for autumn/winter. Creative will simultaneously launch a licensed football version of Basic Concepts’ Slingers featuring football specific gameplay.

Basic Concepts’ CEO Dean

Tzembelikos said: “We’re delighted to be working with Creative. Slingers are a worldwide phenomenon and a top ten toy in most markets where they have been launched. Now that Creative has managed to couple Slingers with licences from some of Europe’s best football clubs; it’s made the toy even more appealing.” The Slingers will be sold in

Starter Packs and Gift Boxes, and the medallions featuring top footballers will be available in blind sachets, with a separate Collector Book to keep them in. Creative’s strategy is to continue

to grow its toy division through the acquisition of distribution rights for established toy lines and the development of its own toys based on strong licences.

THE PUPPET COMPANY LTD SUPPLIER

01462 446 040

THE PUPPET Company is delighted to introduce its latest funky collection of Wigglers puppets. Positioned to be the next big

playground craze, these furry friends can be made to perform lots of wriggly moves. The versatile puppets have head and tail pockets for an excellent range of movement. Place a Wiggler along the top of the arm and tuck three fingers into the head pocket, then cross arms and place two fingers into the tail pocket to get wriggling. These puppets provide value for

money, costing £2.20 plus VAT with a RRP of just £4.99. There is a family

of six Wigglers to collect in funky colourful designs and at this price point they are a really affordable collection. Each one comes individually poly bagged and has its own hang tag explaining how to use them. They can be displayed using slat line (as each one has a Euro tag), in a display basket at the point of sale or on a bespoke stand from The Puppet Company. As an extra detail, each Wiggler is named after their favourite apple. Keep an eye on The Puppet Company’s new and improved website for images and information: www.thepuppetcompany.com
