Mega Brands is aiming to expand on its success with Halo, launching a swathe of new products this year...

 Re:creation launches its Halo line of die-cast collectable vehicles and figures. The set will feature a number of ground and flying vehicles including the Warthog, ranging from £12.99 to £34.99. Each vehicle comes with two poseable figures. The range will also feature a large scale collectors’ Warthog vehicle at £59.99.


 Tomy grows its Pokémon keychain plush collection with new characters in time for the back to school period.


 Five Element will roll-out Series 3 of the Super Mario Mini Figures Box Set. Mario Kart 12cm pullback toys will also be available in Mario and Yoshi characters. The firm’s plush line will be boosted in July with 19 new Mario characters and two new plush sets on offer, along with a plush Question Box Cast. New Zelda plush will also be unveiled, along with Kirby characters in a range of sizes and a Porfessor Layton plush character.


July will also see the launch of the Little Big Planet Kitt-o Construction Kit and Raving Rabbids die-cast vehicles and a figure.


 In August, Five Element will launch eight new Mario Plush Key Chains and two new Super Mario Puzzles. The Raving Rabbids range will be bolstered with seven new R/C toys and a die-cast pull-back TNT Rabbit along with five metal Rabbids Key Chains.


 September will see Five Element’s games offering expanded with Super Mario Checkers and Tic Tac Toe. Super Size Mario plush characters will also be on offer, along with the Series 4 Super Mario Mini Figure collection and box-set.


 First4Figures has produced collectible Worms resin figures. In a variety of poses with different weapons, there will be six characters initially available. There is also a series of dioramas for recreating battle scenes from the games.


 Mega Bloks will launch its World of Warcraft construction toy line. This will be the first toy collection based on the MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game) and features figurines, collectable weapons, interchangeable armour sets, unique mounts, customisable dragons, iconic battle scenes and more. The Faction Pack Assortment marks the opening price point and features articulated figurines, each intricately designed to represent a specific


race/class combination. The 15-piece builds include


weapons, interchangeable chest plates and shoulder pads, as well as tileable base plates with race-themed accessories.


The Mount Assortment features unique figures with customisable armour sets, each paired with a flying or ground mount and made up of around 50 pieces.


The Barren Lands Chase, which comprises one Horde character, plus mechanical mount and one Alliance character plus organic mount, allows kids and collectors to re-create the quest to steal the opposite faction’s flag.


Arthas & Sindragosa features the collectable Arthas figure equipped with the Frostmourne sword and armour. This set includes a buildable frozen throne along with Sindragosa, a poseable dragon made from over 75 customisable pieces. The Horde Siege Engine Attack is a buildable battle scene that includes working launchers and features a minion to accompany the Human Warlock figure. The battle between the Horde and the Alliance continues with the Goblin Zepplin, an iconic Horde flying ship with real working launchers. The 150- piece build is a display piece and includes three collectable figs and the Judgment Armour. Finally, introducing one of the most coveted products within the entire line,


the Deathwing’s Stormwind Assault. Inspired directly from the ‘Cataclysm’ game expansion, this set includes the Stormwind Castle, Alliance leader and an impressive Deathwing dragon built from over 100 customizable pieces.


 The Mega Bloks Halo construction line is expanding in autumn/winter. All new characters can be found in the Micro Action Figure Series 6, Armoury Packs and Combat Unit 8. New vehicles include the Brute Chieftan Charge, Orbital Banshee – a covenant space aircraft, an all new Halo 4 Warthog from the latest instalment in the Halo franchise, which marks the start of a new trilogy, Covenant Wraith & Seraph finishing with the UNSC Rhino & Sabre w/Gantry.


 Also for autumn/winter is the new Mega Bloks Halo Universe action die- cast line featuring iconic Halo vehicles and characters. The collectors’ sets are smaller


scaled replicas based on Mega Bloks Halo construction line. The range will showcase the action pack intergalactic legend of Halo through battle packs, light armoured vehicles – such as the Covenant Banshee – and a new Halo 4 item, plus heavy armoured vehicles sets that include the UNSC Scorpion and Covenant Wraith and the UNSC Falcon. All come with a collectable die-cast zinc figurine and tillable base plates to display any Halo skirmish.
