Q1 – JANUARY TO MARCH Q2 – APRIL TO JUNE
Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Windows PC, as well as Nintendo DS, 3DS and PlayStation Vita will be released.
The new game will complement
the recently released Lego Super Heroes: DC Universe toy collection. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.
Lego figures based on DC characters, a raft of Worms merchandise and a new Pokédex are all due to launch during the first quarter...
Lego has partnered with DC Entertainment to bring a new collection which introduces characters including Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman to the Lego universe.
The theme sets include Catwoman
Catcycle City Chase, which includes two Minifigures: Catwoman and Batman; Superman vs. Power Armour Lex, which features a comic and three Minifigures: Superman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor; Batwing Battle Over Gotham City, which includes three Minifigures: Batman, The Joker and a henchman; Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase, featuring five Minifigures: Batman, Two- Face, two henchman and a guard and The Batcave including five Minifigures: Bruce Wayne, Batman, Robin, Poison Ivy and Bane. The Lego DC Universe Super Heroes
range also includes buildable figures. Each stand at over 18cm tall and can be combined together to create an ultimate hero or villain. The collection includes Lego Batman, Lego Joker and Lego Green Lantern.
Brand new to the Bandai Pokémon Black & White range is the Pokémon
MARCH 2012
Pokédex. The electronic Pokédex with a new sleek design teaches trainers about the new Pokémon. Audio includes information on 45 Pokémon characters from the new region Unova, with children able to search by name, Pokédex number, type and size. The Pokédex also includes four trivia challenges.
Esdevium is set to introduce the World of Warcraft Deckbuilding game in May.
March will see Five Element introduce Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart Wii keychains. The firm will also launch the Super Mario Mini Figures Series 3 and the Mini Figure Moshi Pack, as well as Super Mario Bros plush and Super Mario Bros Wii plush.
Finally, Five
Element will launch three jigsaw puzzles based on Super Mario scenes and a Super Mario Chess Set.
Worms plush from IGS includes collectible keyring characters. The
range comes in three different sizes: keyring (£3.99), midi size (£8.99) and large sized plush (£14.99). Fans can collect classic Worms including the Pirate and the Sergeant. Bizarre weapons such as the Super Sheep will also be available.
More Worms merchandise from Gaya comes in the shape of deluxe, interactive 30cm
soft toys which include a soundchip. The Super Sheep plays the sound of the sheep flying through the air with its fanfare and an explosion.
Gaya will add to its Worms line- up of deluxe, interactive Worms plush with collectable squeezies which will be available in April.
Tomy is ramping up its video games licensed products in the summer. The K’Nex Mario Kart Wii range will feature new building sets so that kids can recreate the racetracks. The big personality joining the K’Nex world is the Mario & Donkey Kong’s Beach Challenge Building Set, available from June. The Sonic range celebrates a whole generation of the gaming icon, with new seven-inch plush characters from the Sonic Generations range out this summer. Classic Sonic, Classic Tails and Modern Sonic add to the existing Tomy Sonic range. Tomy’s Pokémon range continues
to grow with new versions of the eight-inch plush being added from June, along with new keychain plush collections.
Five Element is introducing Super Mario Mini Figure Packs based on Mario, Donkey Kong and Toad and a Bowser 10cm figure. The firm will also unveil the Mario Kart Wii Large RC in both Mario and Yoshi.
