Preston Bailey


With a signature style recognized worldwide — and a clientele that boasts the likes of Oprah, Joan Rivers and Ivanka Trump — Preston Bailey sits atop the floral design elite and has taken his talent and creativity beyond centerpieces.


His Books, TV appearances, and even his own Wedding Planning Course, have elevated his business, and his name, to a recognized brand know for quality and creativity.


In this interview, Preston Bailey shares his thoughts on all things weddings — and amazing photos — with WED’s readers.

Preston Bailey was born and raised in Panama, and came to New York City at 18 years old. He began working with a friend and a floral star was born. “I was very lucky. In 1980 my good friend and mentor Vicente Wolfe, the wonderful interior designer, recognized that I had an eye for flowers. He asked if I would create arrangements for his clients. And even though I had no formal training, everything took off from there.”


His first wedding came three years later. “I had a very regular client at the time -- I created weekly arrangements for her. Anyway, she asked me to do

the flowers for her daughter’s wedding, which was being held at The Rainbow Room. It was very exciting.”


From there, Preston went on to work with celebrities and clients in New York City and internationally. He’s published books, appeared on TV and even launched his own Facebook App.
