Ideas & Advice for Grooms

Be the Man by Chris Easter

{Book Review} We all know the reality. Most grooms have never given one moment of thought about their wedding day. That is until their new bride-to-be starts asking them for their opinion and to help with the planning. Suddenly they are thrust

into the world of weddings, unprepared and lost amongst calla lilies and vintage inspiration boards.

Enter “Be the Man: The Man Registry guide for grooms—a practical [and funny] guide to navigating the wedding minefield” by Chris Easter. This guide for grooms is the best we’ve seen and is a current look at groom involvement in weddings today. It offers practical advice. And it’ll make you laugh.

We love the sidebars throughout the book that alert to some key advice, noted as: Man Up: How to bring your “A” game Man Down: Learning from past grooms’ mistakes. Cha-Ching: Quick money-saving tips.

Tradition Says: Traditional or etiquette-related facts and tidbits.

There’s a section for “Dealing with Bridezilla” that is key reading for every groom and advice for purchasing the Bride’s gift (yes, you have to get your bride a wedding gift).

The groom case studies offer real wedding insight, including from the author’s wedding.

We also appreciate that under the Bachelor party section, the author suggests that you make sure to have enough cash on hand for those unexpected items like hospital co-pays and bail money. Be the Man is a must read for every groom. And the bride might want to peruse and highlight before hand.
