anuary in London, one of the world’s most exciting cities – and also, often, cold and damp at this time of year.

Hopefully it will be warmer than January 2011, we’ll soon find out. But inside is what counts, and ICE promises to be every bit as good as before – and in casino terms, there are two exciting new reasons to visit the capital. First, the newly-opened Aspers venture, at Westfield Stratford City, which has far exceeded expectations since opening in December; second, the soon-to-open casino at the old Hippodrome building, right in the heart of London, a huge project with outstanding potential. Aspers has proved that a supercasino-sized project can work in the UK, and the Hippodrome project will, I am certain, prove that British casinos can offer so much more than simply gaming tables and can bring a lot – even to a city like London, which is so full of choices for the ‘leisure pound’. See you at the show!
