(2) 10mm screws held the A-Pillar in place. With this removed, the an- tenna and micro- phone wires were routed down the A-pillar and wire- tied to the factory wiring harness.


To cut down on wind noise, the Pioneer’s micro- phone was located by the factory map light.


Due to the physical size, the Pioneer GEX- P920XM was located in the passenger foot well. Note: The tuner was located under the carpet and secured to the vehicle.


In the passenger-side harness that leads to the back of the vehicle, the reverse wire was found (Yellow/Red +).


The Pioneer CD-IU51V iPod cable was routed to the center arm rest. This keeps the iPod handy, but out of the way and out of sight.


This system really allowed the 2002 Frontier to look and feel like a new truck. The increase in sound quality is very sur- prising, the ND-TMC10 traffic module works like a charm with traffic jam notifications. The view from the ND-BC4 is so clear and really allows a full view when activated.


Next issue: sound deadening, front component speakers (Pioneer TS-D1720c) and rear coaxial (Pioneer TS-D1720R) accompanied by a Pioneer GM-D9500F 4-channel digital amplifier.
