YAZOO at School Y

in schools.

YAZOO is 94% milk (therefore naturally high in calcium and dairy protein - great for growing children), contains less than 5% added sugar and is only 1.5% fat. It is a great alternative to other soft drinks as it keeps children refreshed and filled up, keeping their energy levels up for longer. To support YAZOO’s healthy credentials, it is the sponsor of RFU Tag Rugby, reaching nearly 2 million children as well as donating equipment to thousands of schools across England. In partnership with the Child Victims of Crime charity (CVOC), an initiative to keep children safe, police officers around the country are being trained to teach basic tag rugby in primary schools. Mark Cueto (England winger), the YAZOO Tag Rugby Ambassador and CVOC patron is very much involved and really inspires the children in the field of rugby.

AZOO Milk Shaken Up is a school approved milkshake, meeting tough government legislations on drinks to allow them to be sold and supplied

YAZOO comes in various handy sized bottles, with 200ml packs ideal for children’s lunchboxes. Currently there is a promotion on-pack for FREE Premier Sport vouchers which can used at participating schools up until 1st March 2012.

Stylish, compact wall mounted water boiler from Lincat

L

incat has introduced a stylish, compact wall-mounted water boiler to its FilterFlow range. The WMB3F delivers up to 31 litres of high quality, filtered, piping hot water per hour.

Its slim design enables the boiler to be installed over a sink while its sleek white or black glass finish makes it an excellent choice for front of house use. An optional drip tray is available. “By introducing a wall-mounted model we’re aiming to widen the appeal yet further of our best selling FilterFlow range”, says marketing director Nick McDonald. “This new model is perfect for busy catering establishments, office kitchens or staff rooms.”

Filter cartridges with a lifespan of 4000 litres or six months reduce the build-up of limescale which can seriously damage performance over time. The FilterFlow range includes four catering boilers with tap dispense and a pushbutton model which is ideal for self-service operations.

All FilterFlow water boilers feature precise electronic temperature control together with comprehensive onboard diagnostics and an LCD panel which indicates operational status and reminds users when to order a new filter and when to change it.

More than 500 UK schools bring in the Zing just 3 months after launch

P

upils at over 500 UK secondary schools have returned for the Winter term to find an exciting new, lightly sparkling juice drink on the menu. Just three months after its official launch at LACA 2011, Aimia Foods’ Zing, which was developed with the help of a focus group of more than 150 teenagers, is taking the secondary education sector by storm.

Zing delivers exactly what pupils have been looking for in a drink when it comes to taste, size, appearance and price, all while adhering to the School Food Trust’s voluntary code of practice for drinks.

Zing’s clever formulation combines at least 70% fruit juice with sparkling water in three tingly flavours: apple, berry and tropical. It provides one of pupils’ five-a-day with no added sugars, preservatives, colourings or additives. Zing’s 69p, 250ml cans have funky unisex packaging that appeals perfectly to the teen market, who recognise this as a delicious drink developed especially for them – the perfect ‘stealth health’ addition to a school canteen.
