NEW MEXICO RUSH
NM RUSH…2011 IS A SUMMER TO
REMEMBER! NM Rush has three teams advance out of bracket and produce one USYS Regional champion in Boise, ID. this past summer at the Far West Regional Finals.
After a successful spring season in DCSL-HNSL league play
and at NMYSA State Cup, New Mexico Rush raised the bar at the 2011 USYS Far West Regionals. All three teams from NM Rush that competed at this summer’s Regional Championships advance out of the bracket stage of the tournament and the Nike 94 Boys were crowned U17 Region IV Champions. NM Rush also had the most teams from any club in the state of New Mexico to get out of bracket in Boise this past June. Steve Kraemer, NM Rush Academy Boys D.O.C., stated, “The results are not unexpected. The club is building on our philosophy of quality over quantity. With the 94 Boys being crowned champions this summer it sets the expectations higher and higher for all players within the club.” Technical Director, Justin Sells stated, “I’m proud of our
efforts this year and look forward to building on that success in 2011-12.” SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: Event name: NM Rush Spring Cup 2012 Event location: Albuquerque, New Mexico / State Farm Soccer Complex Event date(s): February 4-5, 2012 Event contact info: Steve Kraemer

NEW YORK RUSH PLAYERS RECOGNIZED NATIONALLY AND REGIONALLY
Five New York Rush players identified by US Soccer's National and Regional Teams
The New York Rush (formerly Patriots FC) is continuing with
their proven method of player development. New York Rush and their Long Island branch, Stony Brook Rush, have continued to push their players into the National and Regional spotlights. Fallon Sheridan, a member of the NY Rush Patriots 97s was
invited to the US Under-14 Girls National Team Identification Camp in Portland, Oregon in July. Fallon was invited after making the Region One ODP team along with Patriots 97 teammate and friend, Sofia Griff. Both girls made the team for the second successive year. Miranda Haraughty, of the NY Rush Patriots 95s, was also named to the Region One ODP Team for the second year in a row. Caitlin Fryer of the NY Rush Patriots 96s has been racking up
frequent flyer miles with a number of trips to Africa where she represents the South African Women’s U20 National Team as they

prepare for qualifying games for the U20 World Cup to be held in Uzbekistan in 2012. Caitlin was recently invited to attend US Soccer’s National Training Centers. Sofia and Fallon (Patriots 97), and Jennifer Balzan and Holly Habyan of Stony Brook Rush U15s have been participating in the Training Centers since they were introduced. The purpose of the Training Center is to identify the best players for the US Soccer Youth National Team program. New York Rush Technical Director Steve Davis knows that
the clubs future is bright. “We have six players recognized at a regional and national level, five of them are U15s. We’re doing what’s right for the players in terms of their development during their younger years, and we’re now seeing the results.”
