GARY BUCHANAN is arguably the doyen of British cruise writers, a specialist for some 20 years and a connoisseur of all things maritime. He writes regularly for The Times and The Telegraph and is author of three books on QE2.

STEVEN B STERN is our American expert and author of annual publications Stern’s Guide to the Cruise Vacation and Stern’s Guide to the Greatest Resorts of the World. He has sailed on more than 750 ships and visited most ports of call.

ILENE GRIFEN is a widely-travelled cruise journalist and photographer who has written and edited for various cruise guides while also editing Cruise Industry News magazine in New York and writing for Caribbean World and Cruise & Vacation Views.
ANDREW MACLEAR started working with a camera when he was 16. From there he moved to documentary film making and latterly to screen and TV writing, working in England and the USA developing and formating drama series. Photography remains his primary interest.

PETER NEWALL has been in the travel industry since 1974 but has been visiting ships for more than 45 years. He is a well-known writer and author of five highly acclaimed books, including the histories of Union-Castle Line and Orient Line.
STEVE NEWMAN is a former school-teacher who gave it all up to become a travel writer and photographer. He now provides illustrated features to a variety of newspapers and magazines and is a keen champion of adventure and eco-cruising.
PETSA KAFFENS is a freelance fashion, beauty and travel writer, fashion editor of Black Hair magazine and contributor to Beauty, Live Well, Health & Fitness and You & Your Wedding. She has also written three books on beauty.
ANTHONY NICHOLAS is a freelance writer who contributes to the likes of The Independent and Scotsman. He grew up with a love of such great liners as Olympic, Bremen and Normandie and has made almost 100 cruises and crossings to date.
PETER RUSHTON is an ex-Union Castle Line officer who has served in all manner of ships under the House Flag of the British & Commonwealth Group. Today, he still devotes his working life to the cruise industry, specialising in lecture programmes for many lines.
