This October, the Grenada Board of Tourism, British Airways and Selling Long Haul's Laura Gelder will host eight agents on a fam trip to Grenada, dubbed the Isle of Spice. The Caribbean fam is set to take in
some classic Grenadian sights like Concord Waterfall, Grand Etang National Park and the underwater sculpture park, plus experiences including a sunset cruise, the Grand Anse Craft and Spice Market and a chocolate tour of Belmont Estate. Accommodation is spread across True
Blue Bay Resort, Calabash Hotel & Villas and Spice Island Beach Resort. Read more about the agents’ adventures in the fam trip supplement, out in January with Selling Long Haul.
KWAZULU-NATAL SHOWS ITS COLOURS This December, Selling Long Haul help will host a trip to South Africa’s best kept secret – the state of KwaZulu-Natal. KwaZulu-Natal Tourism and South African Airways are giving our competition winners the opportunity to explore cosmopolitan Durban and its fabulous beaches, the stunning Drakensberg mountains and the region's historical battlefields, along with some big five game-viewing and the chance to see marine life such as whales and dolphins. As well as Zulu culture, the agents can
look forward to experiencing traditions and influences from India, Asia and Europe and taking part in activities like climbing, abseiling, scuba-diving, sailing, surfing, or golf on world-class courses. To get an agent’s view on this unique destination, read the report in February.

Already gone... COLOMBIA CALLING!
It was non-stop action and excitement for five UK agents who won a place on a fam trip to Colombia with ProExport Colombia and Selling Long Haul's Julie Baxter this September. The agents worked up a sweat as they zip-lined though lush coffee plantations and rode horses in the national parks. There was some down-time though, when the group paused to dip their toes in the waters of Colombia’s warm Caribbean sea and worked their cameras overtime in the vibrant World Heritage city of Cartegene. Pictured above, preparing to zip-line in
the coffee triangle, are (left to right) Rony Batista, Travelbag; Amena Ali, Thomas Cook; Katie Low, Kuoni Travel; Angie Colombo, Tailor Made Travel; and Ros Avellino, Flight Centre. Read all about their adventures in our full Colombia Fam Trip supplement, to be distributed with the November issue of Selling Long Haul.
FALLING FOR CANADA This September, the Canada Tourism Commission took 60 agents and covered seven different provinces in its annual mega fam. The groups spread out across Canada,
covering Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Québec, Yukon and Atlantic Canada's Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. The groups experienced cosmopolitan cities from Québec to Vancouver, flew over glaciers and searched for bears on horseback. After each trip the agents all flew into
Toronto for a final showdown. Selling Long Haul’s editor Steve Hartridge was in attendance to judge each group's presentation after a series of seminars and workshops. The overall award was to the Alberta group, for the depth of their presentation on the mountainous province and the quality of their selling tips. Above is one of the winning photos from the Atlantic Canada group. To see more tips and pics, look out for a full report in November’s Selling Canada.
