UK smiles for Orlando Florida Keys in the frame LEGOLAND, Orlando’s newest
theme park, opens on October 15. The 150-acre park offers more than 50 rides – from rollercoasters to race cars – as well as shows and interactive attractions. Sales of LEGO are experiencing double-digit growth and the park will appeal to the toy’s millions of fans and young families. Tickets are priced at £144 for a family (two adults/two children), and children under three go free. The park is just one of the attractions
and events that will be highlighted in a new UK-based campaign by Visit Orlando, running from November onwards, promoting Orlando as a must- do holiday destination. The campaign includes TV, digital and
print ads, plus displays along the London underground. It aims to drive business through the trade. It will highlight the excellent shopping, dining and golf available and link to travel planning advice
A new interactive Florida Keys Photo
Adventure website showcases the island chain's natural beauty and visual appeal. Photo Adventure provides a 'virtual vacation' where travel photographers ‘of all skill levels’ can share their Keys digital images with an online community and learn from professionals. Main features include a photo gallery section that shows of the destination’s architecture,
and operator deals online. While the family market remains key,
the site also stresses that Orlando is great for grown-ups too with spa experiences or shopping getaways, race car experiences and world-class restaurants, a vibrant cultural scene and hot nightlife on offer. It will raise awareness of the diversity
of accommodation options from luxury resorts and all-suite hotels to budget hotels and themed resorts.
