It’s a tough market for indie games retailers. What are you doing to stay competitive? We do well with our prices. We sold Gears of War 3 for £30. The things that are keeping us going are the retro sales and just trying to be as cheap as chips.
How does retro game sales compare to new game sales? We generally turn over
more money on retro games and consoles. We can sell a mint Nintendo Entertainment System in a box for the same price as we sell an Xbox 360, and they sell like hot cakes.
How much competition is there in your area? There are two main rival shops but our main competition comes from Cash Generator and stores like that.
Now that the summer lull is behind us, what are you top tips for Christmas? Xbox 360 has always been
a great seller over Christmas and the DS. For months we’ve had people coming in asking for Modern Warfare 3.
