IGN l The online media firm has appointed ADAM DOREE as business development director. He as been hired on a temporary consultancy basis.


Doree is the founder of news and entertainment website


Kikizowhere he also worked as director. He has previously held positions at AOL, Hi2 and GamerWeb.


Now working at the IGN International head office in New Oxford Street, he will report in to IGN’s VP of International IAN CHAMBERS. Doree will concentrate on generating revenue from territories outside of the US, UK, Australia and Germany.

RED 5 l MORGAN ROMINE has joined the online game developer as the head of its e-sports division. She was the co-founder of Ubisoft’s pro girl gamer clan


Frag Dolls, where she was also known as Rhoulette. At Red 5 she will help launch upcoming free-to-play online shooter Firefall.

SULAKE l The social game company has hired PAUL LAFONTAINE as its new CEO.


He joins as previous CEO TIMO SOININEN steps down to join the Board of directors. Soininen led the company for 10 years where he helped its online teen network Habbo Hotel draw 10m unique monthly users. LaFontaine was formerly VP for global distribution at Disney’s casual gaming firm Playdom. “Paul’s extensive and relevant experience in consumer internet, media and social gaming is a perfect match for Sulake,” said Sulake chairman MIKA SALMI. “His versatile international management experience will help Habbo continue to innovate a unique service dedicated to the global teen market.” LaFontaine added: “After 10 years of successful growth, Sulake is now well known for providing a popular, safe, social entertainment destination for teens. I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to continue this work with such a talented and creative group of people.”
